| | Details | This course helps students recognize and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies in victims who are 12-years-old or older. The laminated Adult CPR/AED skills card used during class is yours to keep.
Particpants learn how to:
Check an unconscious victim
Recognize an emergency
Recognize and care for choking, breathing and cardiac emergencies
Prevent heart disease
Use the EMS system/9-1-1
Use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
Please note: This course is not appropriate for students who need certification in a healthcare-level CPR class. Please see CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer if you need healthcare-level CPR.
Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be certified for one year in Adult CPR with AED Essentials. |
