| | Details | Participants will learn how to:
Check an unconscious victim
Recognize an emergency
Recognize and care for choking, breathing and cardiac emergencies in infant and young child victims
Minimize the effects of shock
Treat sudden illnesses, including poisonings and heat and cold emergencies
Perform First Aid for cuts, scrapes, bruises, burns, bleeding, and injuries to bones, joints, and muscles, such as sprains and strains
Use the EMS system/9-1-1
The laminated Infant/Child CPR and First Aid skills cards and the bandage kit used during class are theirs to keep. This course meets OSHA & WISHA requirements.
Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be certified for one year in Child & Infant CPR, one year in Bloodborne Pathogens and three years in First Aid. |
