The American Red Cross offers you all of this and more.   Youth and young adults play a critical role in the Red Cross mission of preparing for and responding to emergencies. They shape our youth outreach programs, participate in critical volunteer roles and learn skills that save lives.   We have opportunities for all ages and skills sets: Get trained in CPR and other life-saving safety courses. Teach youth how to prepare their homes and families for a disaster. Staff a First Aid station at Seafair, Whaling Days and other community events Participate in events such as Kids Day and Safety Day and help kids be safe. Help plan, promote and direct events such as First Aid workshops, Safety Saturday and CPR Saturday for Teens.
