Whether it’s making a
doctor’s appointment or learning where to go in the wake of a disaster,
being able to communicate effectively is critical to a person's safety and
well-being.
With nearly 300 local
volunteers who collectively speak more than 60 different languages and
dialects, the American Red Cross Serving King & Kitsap Counties breaks
down barriers of language by providing translation and interpretation for
non-English speakers in our community. The Language Bank provides
in-person and over-the-phone interpretation as well as written
translations for individuals and community-based partner
agencies.
