INTERPRETATION
If you or someone you
know needs help speaking with an advocate, social worker, case manager or
with anyone who provides critical information to your well-being or
ability to access services, contact the Red Cross. Whether it’s over the telephone or
in-person, our volunteers provide language interpretation 24 hours a day,
7 days a week. Red Cross is also
available to assist nonprofit organizations.
FEES
For individuals, all
language interpretations are free.
For nonprofit
organizations, there is a $300 annual fee, which is prorated depending on
when an agency enrolls in the program. Nonprofit members receive the
following:

Unlimited in-person or over-the-phone
interpretation requests, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (for
non-emergency situations we need one week's notice).

Translation requests at the special
client rate of $0.05 – $0.08 per word

Access to bilingual social service
glossaries in our top languages (Spanish, Somali, Russian, Chinese and
Vietnamese).

Workplace disaster preparedness training
for your organization
Discounts on Red Cross
classes (CPR, First Aid, etc) and products (disaster kits, first aid
kits, etc). Private classes for your organization are
available.
