NEW! American Red Cross Wilderness and Remote First Aid is designed for people whose jobs, volunteer activities or favorite activities take them to remote wilderness settings where Emergency Medical Services responders may be an hour or more away.
The training complies with federal OSHA regulatory requirements for such certification. Major portions of the course are designed to be taught outdoors.
Website registration includes enrollment in a separate Adult CPR/AED course, which is a prerequisite for the 16-hour WRFA training. If you already hold a valid, unexpired certificate for either Adult CPR with AED Essentials or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider that was issued by the Red Cross or another recognized training agency you may call the office during business hours at (206) 726-3534 to see if you qualify to enroll for the two-day WRFA training only at a reduced cost.
Ideal for Scouts, Scout leaders, outdoor enthusiasts or those who are in remote environments an hour or more from EMS response. Course participants must be at least 14 years of age.
