1. FIRST AID BASICS: 4 HOURS, $41 PER PERSON, 8 – 12 PEOPLE

 

This course helps students recognize and deal with emergencies and sudden illness. Upon completion participants will receive a three-year certification for First Aid Basics. The laminated First Aid skills card and First Aid bandage kit used during class are included with the price.

 

Participants learn how to: 

  • Check an unconscious victim
  • Recognize an emergency
  • Minimize the effects of shock
  • Treat sudden illnesses, including poisonings and heat and cold emergencies
  • Perform First aid for cuts, scrapes, bruises, burns, bleeding, and injuries to bones, joints, and muscles, such as sprains and strains
  • Use the EMS system/9-1-1  
2. ADULT CPR: 4 HOURS, $42 PER PERSON, 8 – 12 PEOPLE

 

This course helps students recognize and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies in victims who are 12 years of age and older. Upon completion participants will receive a one year certification in Adult CPR. The laminated Adult CPR skills card is included with the price.

 

Participants learn how to: 

  • Check an unconscious victim
  • Recognize an emergency
  • Recognize and care for choking, breathing and cardiac emergencies in victims who are 12-years-old and older.
  • Prevent heart disease
  • Use the EMS system/9-1-1
3. INFANT & CHILD CPR: 5 HOURS, $45 PER PERSON, 8 – 12 PEOPLE                                

 

This course helps students recognize and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies in victims who are infants or children under 12 years old.  Upon completion participants will receive a one year certification in Infant & Child CPR. The laminated Infant/Child CPR card is included with the price.

 

Participants learn how to: 

  • Check an unconscious victim
  • Recognize an emergency
  • Recognize and care for choking, breathing and cardiac emergencies in infant and young child victims
  • Use the EMS system/9-1-1
4. ADULT, CHILD & INFANT CPR: 5.5 HOURS, $61 PER PERSON, 8 – 12 PEOPLE  

 

This course teaches you to recognize and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies for victims of all ages. Upon completion participants will receive a one year certification in Adult, Child & Infant CPR. The laminated Adult CPR and Infant & Child CPR skills cards are included in the price.

5. ADULT CPR WITH FIRST AID: 7 HOURS, $66 PER PERSON, 8 – 12 PEOPLE

6. ADULT CPR WITH FIRST AID REVIEW: 3.5 HOURS, $52 PER PERSON, 8 – 12 PEOPLE

 

This class will re-certify you in Adult CPR and First Aid. All of the topics of the full Adult CPR with First Aid class are addressed. However, because the class moves very quickly, students are only eligible to take the review if they have taken the full class within the last two years.

 

7. ADULT CPR REVIEW: 2.5 HOURS, $40 PER PERSON, 8 – 12 PEOPLE

 

This class will re-certify you in Adult CPR.  All of the topics of the full Adult CPR class are addressed. However, because the class moves very quickly, students are only eligible to take the review if they have taken the full class within the last two years.

 

8. CHILD & INFANT CPR WITH FIRST AID:  8 HOURS, $74 PER PERSON, 8 – 12 PEOPLE

 

This course helps students recognize and deal with emergencies and sudden illness and to recognize and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies in victims who are infants or children under 12. Participants learn how to: 

  • Check an unconscious victim
  • Recognize an emergency and overcome reluctance to act.
  • Recognize and care for choking, breathing and cardiac emergencies in victims who are 12-years-old and older.
  • Prevent heart disease
  • Use the EMS system/9-1-1
  • Use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)

Please note: This course is not appropriate for students who need certification in a healthcare-level CPR class. Please see CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer if you need healthcare-level CPR.

 

11. CPR/AED FOR THE PROFESSION RESCUER: 9.5 HOURS, $80 PER PERSON, 6 – 10 PEOPLE

 

Our professional rescuer courses are designed for people who have a job-related duty to respond in an emergency. This course is known by other names such as BLS, Healthcare Provider CPR or “Level C” CPR.

Students who are required to take this level of training include nurses, law enforcement and EMS personnel, fire fighters, business and industry response teams, lifeguards, flight attendants and others who must take action in emergency situations.

 

Upon completion participants will receive a one year certification in CPR and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for the Professional Rescuer. The books and pocket masks used during the class are included in the fee.

 

Professional rescuers will learn how to:  

  • Recognize and provide care in respiratory and cardiac emergencies in adult, child and infant victims
  • Perform two-rescuer CPR and techniques for special rescue situations
  • Utilize techniques used in saving a victim of choking
  • Use resuscitation masks and bag-valve-masks for ventilating victims
  • Use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
  • Reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease
12. EMERGENCY RESPONSE: 52 HOURS, $330 PER PERSON, 8 – 12 PEOPLE

 

This course is designed for public personnel, athletic trainers, emergency response team members and others interested in advanced level First Aid skills. Course content includes CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, treating injuries and sudden illness and preventing disease and blood borne pathogen transmission. Emergency Response is also designed to meet or exceed United States Department of Transportation first responder guidelines.

 

Upon successful completion of course requirements, students will receive the following certificates:  

  • CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer
  • Emergency Response
  • Oxygen Administration for the Professional Rescuer
  • Bloodborne Pathogens Training: PDT
13. HIV/AIDS EDUCATION/BLOOD BORNE PATHOGENS: 3 HOURS, $26 per person, 15-20 PEOPLE

 

This course meets the requirements for being a child or adult care provider, adoptive parent or foster parent. It discusses the differences between HIV and AIDS, infection control and other issues. 

 

For groups over 15 people it is $10 for each additional person.

 

14. HIV/AIDS EDUCATION: 4 HOURS, $43 per person, 15-20 PEOPLE   

 

This course meets the requirements for health-affiliated professionals. It covers etiology and epidemiology; transmission and infection control; clinical manifestation and treatment; testing and counseling; social and psychological issues. A person living with HIV/AIDS will be among the speakers. This course is appropriate for registered counselors and social workers; massage therapists and pharmacy assistants; as well as veterinarians and veterinary technicians.

 

For groups over 15 people it is $10 for each additional person.

  

15. HIV/AIDS EDUCATION: 7 HOURS, $43 per person, 15-20 PEOPLE

 

This course covers etiology and epidemiology; transmission and infection control; clinical manifestation and treatment; testing and counseling; as well as social and psychological concerns. A person living with HIV/AIDS will be among the speakers.

 

This course is designed for health care professionals including nurses, nursing assistants and nursing students, acupuncturists, Adult Family Home managers/providers, dentists and dental hygienists, health care assistants, midwives, naturopathic physicians, physician's assistants, pharmacists, psychologists, radiology techs and x-ray techs.

 

For groups over 15 people it is $10 for each additional person.

  

16. TRAUMATIC INDUSTRIAL EMERGENCY RESPONSE (TIER) - $140 PER PERSON PER PERSON FOR 20 HOUR COURSE WITHOUT CPR

 

Adult CPR certificate and a minimum of 10 students are required. It is usually taught in five 4-hour segments with the last session reserved for practice treating victims with fake, but realistic injuries.  This course covers the seven-step emergency response plan when help is delayed. The class is designed for public personnel, emergency response team members and others interested in advanced level First Aid skills. Course content includes: advanced First Aid care, triage and incident management. TIER is also designed to meet or exceed U.S. Department of Transportation first responder guidelines.
