American Red Cross volunteers respond to disasters every day. But some disasters require more than an everyday response.
The Volunteer Reserve Programs are designed to provide increased volunteer staffing when the community needs it most.

RESERVECORPS
Note: Thanks to tremendous community response, the ReserveCorps program is currently at capacity. Please consider some of our other available volunteer opportunities.
ReserveCorps members are ready to be mobilized when major disasters, such as flooding or power outages, strike. They work alongside Red Cross employees and volunteers in specialty areas such as sheltering, supply distribution, community response (phone bank) and volunteer registration.
ReserveCorps is for individual volunteers and community groups.
It's important to receive your ReserveCorps training before the next disaster strikes. A one-day ReserveCorps class, provided free of charge, will give you the basic skills required to assist in a major local disaster.

READY WHEN THE TIME COMES (RWTC)
Ready When the Time Comes (RWTC) is a volunteer program designed for corporate groups.
The King & Kitsap County Ready When the Time Comes (RWTC) program provides disaster-relief training to teams from local corporate and business partner groups and mobilizes them as a community-based volunteer force when disaster strikes.
All participants receive free basic disaster relief and personal preparedness training. RWTC volunteers serve as a reserve task force that will be called upon when a major, local disaster occurs and emergency relief operation requires increased staffing.
For more information email the Volunteer Services Department or call (206) 720-5394.
